I didn’t feel as much suspense in this book as in the first one, but there was enough to keep wanting to turn the pages to follow the plot unfolding. Tris comes through strong as ever and you’re rooting for her all the way success, safety. The ending of the book was just wow, and wasn’t expected, which left it on a cliffhanger and still left me wanting more. The pace of the book is reasonable with easy language to follow along. Making sacrifices could be the only way to save the others. If she is to discover the truth about her world, she’ll have to make a decision one that could cost her life. Tris is raging with guilt and grief, and realises that she needs to bury her emotions and become even stronger if she is to survive and accept her new future. When traitors arrive to arrest them, the group flees and joins forces with an unexpected group, which holds a few secrets of its own. All opinions and views are my own.īook review: Insurgent by Veronica Roth #bookreview Tweet Plot:Īfter surviving the brutal attack on her former faction and family, Tris and other members take refuge. Insurgent is the sequel to the 2011 bestseller Divergent.ĭISCLAIMER: This review could contain possible spoilers based on my opinions. The Divergent series falls under some of the best dystopian books you’ll find, and no matter when you get around to reading the series, the books are just as amazing as when they were published.
